We Don't Just Alter Clothes!

In addition to clothing alterations and monogramming, we also offer services to hem curtains, remake old wedding dresses into christening or First Communion gowns, and create t-shirt quilts from scratch. If you have an idea of something you'd like altered, repaired or made, please give us a call or stop by our shop. See below for specifics on how to order a t-shirt quilt.

T-Shirt Quilts

What is a T-Shirt Quilt?

High school and college t-shirts make special graduation gifts when turned into quilts. Each t-shirt gets cut into a 12" x 12" square, sewed together in a checked pattern, and attached to a blanket backing. If you no longer wear certain t-shirts but still want to cherish those memories, a t-shirt quilt is a unique memento.

How Many T-Shirts Do I Need?

Our typical quilt size is 25-36 shirts (or half of that, front and back). This makes a 5x5, 5x6, or 6x6 square quilt. These sizes are between throw blanket and twin quilt sizes. If you'd like a bigger or smaller quilt, just bring in more or fewer shirts.

How Much Does a Quilt Cost?

We charge $10 per square (t-shirt), but we provide the backing material complementary. A 25-square quilt, for example, will cost $250.

What's the Turn-Around Time?

Quilts take around 2-3 weeks to be completed, but we will let you know for sure when you drop off your t-shirts.

Do I Need to Call Ahead?

No need to call ahead. Just come into the shop with your t-shirts to drop off, and we will write you a ticket and give you an estimated completion date.
