Frances Hoffman has been sewing her whole life. A graduate of University of Kentucky with a degree in home economics education, Frances opened her first alterations shop right out of college. After selling the business several years later, Frances taught middle school home ec. She pursued a Master’s in Education to become a principal, but decided to put those plans on hold
to open a local alterations shop in her town of Fort Thomas.

In 2009, Frances opened her first official location and has since expanded to larger spaces for the growing business. Today, Alterations by Frances has been serving the Fort Thomas community for 10 years.
